New TVS-BMW Bike Could be a Cruiser Based on the Zeppelin Concept

As reported earlier by us, the next 300cc-segment TVS-BMW bike would be the naked streetfighter variant of the Apache RR 310. However, the recent reports now suggest that the all-new TVS product from the partnership of two brands might be a cruiser based on the much-hyped Zeppelin concept. The partnership between the two brands will churn out an all-new motorcycle that will be delightful for the customers while at the same time will create more opportunities for the brands in the Indian market. At present, the BMW-TVS partnership has resulted in the launch of TVS Apache RR 310 that has been recently updated with a BS6-compliant engine. The fully-faired sports machine is based on the specifics of the very famous BMW G310R. All three products namely G310R, G310GS and Apache RR 310 are powered by the same 313cc liquid-cooled engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 34HP and a peak torque of 28Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Coming to the second TVS product from the partnership, the new TVS-BMW bike will be launched in India sometime by the mid of the year 2021 while the brand is expected to foray into the cruiser segment since BMW currently offers an adventure tourer as well as a naked street motorcycle. Launching the production variant of TVS Zeppelin concept that was initially unveiled at the Auto Expo 2018 would be one of the most preferred decisions from the brand since the premium motorcycle is highly anticipated by the Indian audience ever since the unveiling. Since major motorcycle manufacturers are looking for increasing their reach in the mid-displacement motorcycle segment, the TVS Zeppelin-based 300cc cruiser would be capable of getting good sales considering its splendid design language as well as the competitive price tag that is expected to be around INR 2 lakh (ex-showroom).
