TVS Apache RTR 200 was the most appealing motorcycle of the year 2016. It failed to impress because TVS never tried to push the motorcycle into dealerships at a fast pace. Apache RTR 200 was launched in 7 shades and uncountable variants while the only available colors at most places are Matte Black, Gloss Black and Gloss White. Matte Gray may be on display at certain locations while buying a Red or Yellow is still a dream for the riders. However, things seem to get better with time as TVS has finally listed the motorcycle on the official website of Apache series, displaying the base carburetor variant and its Pirelli tyre equipped version on the website.
The motorcycle retails currently for INR 89215 for the carburetor version with TVS tyres while the Pirelli tyre version can be bought for INR 94215. The difference of INR 5,000 makes the option quite tempting for those who have tasted the grip levels of Pirelli tyres on other bikes before.
Apache RTR 200 Price List
Above mentioned prices are ex-showroom Delhi and are now listed on the official website of TVS Apache RTR Series.
Price of TVS Apache RTR 200 Listed on the Official Website
These two sure shot prices are hinting at an early launch of the fuel injected version in India, which is again expected to carry Pirelli and ABS feature as an option. It is expected to be priced around INR 1,09,215. ABS would most probably be offered on both the carburetor fed and fuel injected version, which would further make Apache RTR 200 the most equipped motorcycle in its segment.
ABS is expected to raise the price of the standard bike by INR 14,000 while the raise for Pirelli tyres would stay INR 5,000. The below mentioned prices are expected to be the nearest possible values for the motorcycle, which may get launched in a phased manner in the coming months. TVS seems to be charging INR 15,000 for the fuel injected model, making it quite expensive in its top-most trim. Let’s see if TVS could place the topmost variant INR 34,000 above the base variant in India.
Rumored Price for Fi & ABS Variants
The engine powering all the models is the same 197.75 cc, 1-cylinder motor from the base model. It produces a max of 20.23 BHP at 8500 rpm and 18.1 Nm at 7000 rpm from the carburetor fed variant. The fuel injected unit produces 20.73 BHP while weighs just 0.5 kg over the standard variant. 0-60 kmph comes up in less than 4 seconds while the 100 kmph sprint takes around 12 seconds on a TVS Apache RTR 200.
