At the 2018 Auto Expo, TVS Motor Company displayed the Zeppelin Power Cruiser motorcycle concept. The corporation has said nothing about the manufacturing version of the cruiser’s release date. According to a new media source, an Instagram Handle by the name Powerdrift, the production-ready TVS Zeppelin cruiser could be unveiled in June 2022. Powerdrift claims TVS is preparing to debut its first cruiser, the Zeppelin R, in the coming weeks.
The mild-hybrid engine with belt final-drive, a first in India, is the most significant update to the forthcoming Zeppelin R. In fact, the mild-hybrid system would be among the world’s first for a two-wheeler. We don’t know if these stats are the combined output of the engine and motor, but they’re fairly good for an entry-level cruiser. The front gets gold-finished USD forks, while the rear gets a standard mono-shock suspension. The Zeppelin R spoke wheels include disc brakes, 300mm on the front and 240mm on the back.
At the front, the flat LED headlight looks radical with brushed silver surrounds that hold the front LED indicators, the headlamp gets a split setup, chunky triple T, and on top of the headlight sits the single pod instrument console that gets an analogue tachometer on a split digital cluster, all-digital speedometer and odometer, bar clamps with brushed silver finish holds the flat handlebar, tank with offset fuel-filler cap, single-piece step-up seat, small rectangular LED tail lamp with rear cowls taper.
When it is released, the TVS Zeppelin R will compete with the Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise. Because of the segment-first technology on offer, it’s likely to charge a premium price of Rs. 2.50 lakhs (ex-showroom).
