This TVS Apache RR 310 Is More Powerful Than KTM RC 390!

TVS Racing organised the first-ever TVS Asia One-Make Championship back in May 2022. And for the participants of this race competition, the brand unveiled the race-spec version of the Apache RR 310. The bike draws inspiration from the Akula supersport concept, which was showcased back in 2016. With the unleashing of this bike, TVS has continued its racing legacy.

As claimed by TVS, this racing machine takes power from a 312cc DOHC 4-value, liquid-cum-oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that churns out a max power of 46 HP, which is 38 per cent higher than the stock Apache RR 310.

This makes the Apache RR 310 Race-spec more powerful than the KTM RC 390 which generates 43.5 HP of maximum power. The engine comes fitted with forged pistons and titanium valves, and there are major improvements made to the cooling system to offer persistent performance on the race track.

Besides this, the manufacturer has used a RAM air intake system to enhance the top speed of the bike. And for handling electronics, the race machine is equipped with an ARacer ECU that offers services like closed-loop control, quick shifter, launch control, and traction control.

According to the manufacturer, the majority of the body panels, including the wheels, are constructed of carbon fibre. In fact, the whole tail portion is constructed of carbon fibre, which also serves as a structural subframe.

The wheels are wrapped in Dunlop soft-compound radial racing tyres, which are said to provide optimal grip during acceleration and deceleration. The race bike sports a specialised steering damper, and Ohlins customised the front and rear suspension. TVS has particularly created a twin exhaust system that aids in obtaining a broader powerband.

In addition, the triple clamp and footpegs are made of high-grade aluminium. The Race-Spec RR 310 is 32% lighter than the road-going model after all modifications and weighs only 118 kgs. Moreover, this bike was designed for the racing championship only and will not be offered to the market.
