TVS Apache RR 310 Waiting Period Goes up to 6 Months

Apache RR 310 Waiting Period Increases: TVS Motor India’s marketing vice president, Mr Arun Siddharth, has recently confirmed that they are completely sold out for Apache RR 310. The report is completely inline with some of the buyers claiming 6 month waiting period from their respective dealers.

TVS didn’t reveal the exact number of Apache RR 310 bikes being produced within their factory but it seems like they have postponed the plans of expansion of city base for their new bike. It is also clear from their report that they are in no hurry of increasing the customer base or even solve the problems of those who are booking their bikes these days.

TVS Apache RR 310 is based on BMW G310R. Another possibility that arises includes TVS manufacturing more G310R bikes for BMW and thus, getting less space for their fully faired sport bike in India.

TVS was already manufacturing fuel injected Apache RTR 200 for South Asian markets but didn’t launch this version for almost one and a half year in India.  Thus, the possibility of focusing more on BMW G310R could be a right thing. Last month, TVS Apache RR 310 was delivered to 353 buyers while one month before, the number was even smaller at 242 units.

December 2017 was a starting month for RR 310 as it was officially launched on Dec 6, 2018. Deliveries were limited in this month and only 66 units were delivered in first few days. It seems like TVS is not in a mood to fulfill their initial statement of delivering 10,000 units in first year.

Even if they deliver 400 units (approx) in March 2018, remaining 9000 units are hard to deliver in next nine months of the year. Bajaj, on the other hand, expected 10,000 units monthly sales from Dominar 400 and got max of 3000-3500 units in the prime sales time of Dominar last year.
