TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi, ABS to launch in December 2016

TVS Apache RTR 200 is a great product but its delayed launch for the Fi and ABS version has landed TVS into a tough situation. The motorcycle is available currently in just Carburettor fed fuel system in India while the models with other two features are being sold internationally. TVS has delayed the launch of these two variants from September 2016 to December 2016. This means no more Apache waiting for next three months for the fans. The reason for the same has been given as the strong demand for these models in the international markets, thereby forcing TVS to increase the production in the coming days. The motorcycle comes with a 197.75 cc, 1-cylinder engine producing 20.23 BHP @ 8500 rpm and 18.1 Nm @ 7000 rpm. On the other hand the Fi version is said to be more refined and produces just 0.5 Bhp more than the standard version.

The motorcycle comes with a 5-speed gearbox while the ABS version will be available with dual channel ABS, making it the safest 200 cc bike in India. Not even the premium KTM 200 series bikes are offered with the ABS option. The Fi version will be placed on the higher side while the option of ABS will also be given on Carburettor fed model in the coming days. TVS will offer Pirelli tyres as an option for those who are seriously interested in track racing.
