TVS has been in the news since its tie-up with BMW for the production of G310R. Recently we reported that TVS is going to launch the Akula 310 in India in July this year and the production version of the same is now expected to be sold as Apache RTR 310. It is undoubtedly the upcoming flagship motorcycle from the Indian manufacturer.
Its class leading design, long list of features and lightweight performance approach will make it the best machine around the 300cc segment. Now, for the very 1st time, 3 photos of Apache RTR 310 (Akula 310) have leaked online and these are the clearest ever spy shots of the upcoming beast. One bike is finished in Gloss Blue and second one is Matte Black. The motorcycle looks race spec, carrying the same rider seat as the Apache 200 and sharing minor components with the earlier models.
The things which are new on the Apache RTR 310 include its upside down front forks, all-new vertical instrument console, machined clip-ons, longest ever windshield and race inspired fully faired design. The rear seat is surrounded by wide plastic panels. The front disc brake gets a left side placement on the new model. It uses front projector headlights while its rear LED pattern that resembles devil horns was even spied few days back. Akula’s instrument console stays the same as that unit seen on concept version.

Engine powering the TVS Apache RTR 310 is a 313cc, liquid cooled and fuel injected unit producing 33.6 BHP at 9500 rpm and 28 Nm at 7500 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and lacks the use of slipper clutch. The engine claims a top speed of 143 kmph on BMW G310R while this could go up on the Akula 310 with its aerodynamic design. The motorcycle will weigh over 160 kg and officially reveal itself in India in July 2017. TVS would claim a price tag of around INR 1.60-1.75 lakh for the perfect placement of the Apache RTR 310.
The tail light’s pattern resembles two separate spikes that have gap between both the tips. The lights are in sync with the tail light design, clearly wrapping around the sharp ending section. The photo was shared by PowerDrift, showing the stance of the bike when seen from the rear angle. The tyre looks beefy while a hugger is missing from the test mule.
TVS is expected to offer the Apache 310 with ABS while rivals on the list includes Bajaj Dominar 400, Mahindra Mojo 300 and Honda CBR250R. It will even rival the upcoming BMW G310R, even being built on the same platform. TVS is expected to carry the same strategy as Bajaj Auto and offer the motorcycle with as much of features as possible in this price segment. The same platform has even been used for building the BMW G310GS internationally.
