TVS Apache RTR Carbon Edition was recently made official for the public through the 2019 “Feria de las 2 Ruedas” in Colombia. The special edition comes with two different engine sizes and above all, both the engines are familiar to the Indian market with the name 160 4V and 200 4V. The Apache RTR 160 4V Carbon comes with a pure matt black shade and careful placement of stickers for a unique look. The variant seen here comes with a gloss black centre panel in place of the silver connecting piece while the fuel tank now flaunts an RTR moniker with an unusual effect that creates a shadow-like effect.
Another exclusive sticker is seen on the front fender while the lower section of the centre panel that connects the rear seat panel to the fuel tank is left silver for some reason. This can also be a reason to differentiate the same from the Apache RTR 200 4V Carbon as the model comes with identical paint finish and just minor points like the visor for exclusivity. However, the buyers of Apache RTR 160 4V can also opt for the same and leave nothing more than the silver panel (if not wrapped) to be the only differentiating factor among both the Apache RTR Carbon Edition models.
The front forks further have one visual difference as those seen on the RTR 200 variant are finished in a light golden shade while the RTR 160 comes with black forks. TVS Apache Carbon Edition can be launched in the Indian market for a slight premium over the regular version. The only factor that seems odd here is the lack of carbon fiber-inspired finish on the model, which definitely could have raised the appeal to the next level for such a good product. The Apache RTR 160 4V is available with a single channel ABS unit while the RTR 200 4V comes equipped with a dual-channel ABS unit as standard.
