TVS Motor Company has recently revealed its plans to start its operations in Central America, with the country target being Mexico. In order to do so, the company has joined hands with Torino Motors in Mexico, a subsidiary of Groupo Autofin. The agreement is based on the understanding that Torino Motors will become the official distributor of the TVS bikes in Mexico and will work with the company to open 40 new dealerships in the country. The 2-wheelers that the joint venture will bring to Mexico includes the entire TVS Apache range plus the XL100 HD, HLX 150, Stryker 125, Rockz, Neo, Ntorq 125, and the 110cc Wego scooter.
Speaking about the terms of agreement, R Dillip, Senior Vice President of the International Business division of TVS Motor Company said, “We are delighted to partner with a reputed, well-known company such as Torino Motors, who come with over 40 years of experience in Mexico. We look forward to the market knowledge that they will bring on board. Their insights will allow us to personalize our offerings to suit the customers of Mexico and their vast network of distribution will ensure maximum reach in the country. Together with Torino Motors, we are determined to create customer delight in the country.”
Jorge Garcia, Chief Executive Officer, Torino Motors, said: “The Mexican brand is delighted to be the bridge between TVS Motor Company’s superior offerings and the customers in the country. Garcia also said that the range of offerings provided by the Company are very well-suited for the local Mexican commuter and terrain.”
