Updated TVS Apache RR 310 Media Ride Cancelled: We recently posted an article that TVS Motor is all set to launch an updated version of the Apache RR 310 sportbike in the Indian markets very soon and the media ride of the same was scheduled to take place between April 7-9, 2021, at the Madras Motor Race Track. But as per the latest details available, due to the rising number of Coronavirus cases across India, the media ride has been cancelled. The good news is that the launch of the updated Apache RR 310 is on track and it would take place by April 10, 2021, through an online/virtual launch event.
As of now, TVS has not announced anything officially regarding the updates and changes offered to the updated version of the Apache RR 310. As per the details available, the 300cc-segment sports bike is expected to get a slightly improved design for the twin headlights, new colour options, better rear suspension, improved aerodynamics, and an updated look for the all-digital instrument console. Apart from these changes, no major changes are expected in terms of the design and hardware components. Here is the teaser image released by TVS Motor:
To jog your memory, TVS Apache RR 310 is powered by a 312.2cc, single-cylinder, BS6-compliant, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 34HP @ 9,700 rpm and a peak torque of 27.3Nm @ 7,700 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
In the last update back in 2019, TVS also equipped the BS6 model of Apache RR 310 with throttle-by-wire technology, which further allowed the brand to offer the sportbike with four riding models namely Rain, Urban, Sport, and Track. In Rain and Urban mode, the power and torque values of the motorcycle drop to 25.8HP @ 7,600rpm and 25Nm @ 6,700rpm respectively. The top speed also falls to 125kmph from 160kmph.
In terms of pricing, the updated model is expected to get a minor price hike. For your reference, the current-gen version of Apache RR 310 is available with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 2.50 lakhs.
