Ultraviolette F77 with 450NM of Torque to Launch in India This Year

TVS-Backed Ultraviolette F77 Electric Motorcycle Details Revealed

TVS-backed Ultraviolette will launch their first product codenamed F77 by the end of 2019. The investment of INR 6 Crore by the Indian brand into the Bangalore-based startup helped them start operations for a product that will bring segment-leading features for sure. Ultraviolette F77 will be initially sold in Bangalore and comes with a 25kW electric motor that offers 450NM of torque to the rear wheel. The value brings 0-60 kph in just 3 seconds, making the electric motorcycle comparable to the current lineup of 200cc bikes in India. The user can change the riding mode from Insane to Eco and Sport as per the need.

The motorcycle features self-managing battery pack that comes with self-cooling, error sensing and certain protocols to manage the overall working of the pack. The problem of range limitation is solved by the ability of the motorcycle to find the nearest station when the battery seems draining with speed. The home charger may not be as fast as the one in Ultraviolette Energy Network but, the presence of smart sensing technology can help the motorcycle achieve optimum values during the charging process. F77 is said to be using GPS-based location saving feature that helps you find your motorcycle in complex parking structures.

The motorcycle is expected to stay under INR 2 lakh (ex-showroom) as going higher brings conventional bikes with much more focus on performance than the eco-friendly electric option. Ultraviolette F77 comes with a streetfighter-based design with impressive frame design and sharp fuel tank panels that keep the visual bits comparable to regular motorcycles. The electric motorcycle segment will also see the introduction of Tork T6X at almost half the price of F77 and thus, buyers will have the option of selecting the overall output and design they prefer. The year 2020 will see more brand venturing into this least explored space.
