2019 UM Renegade Vegas Edition is now official, carrying a 125cc engine and price tag of EUR 3,499 (INR 2.84 lakh approx). The motorcycle was seen in India with a bigger engine as Indian regulations have no restriction of engine size for issuing licenses. On the other hand, those with engine size of greater than 125cc require riders to pass tougher tests in Europe. The engine powering the Vegas is good for 12 HP at 8000 rpm and 10 Nm at 8000 rpm. The exact power and torque delivery at similar rpm is not seen in most bikes of this segment. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle comes with similar design as the India-spec motorcycles, offering small additions like different rear seat, smart fenders, modern-looking mirrors and black components. The headlight is also enclosed in all black casing with gloss ring and rubber wrapped suspension right below the indicators. UM Renegade Vegas Edition is available in just single shade with black as the base and red inserts on top of it. The engine for European market is liquid cooled and fuel injected. The front forks are telescopic while rear uses twin hydraulic shocks finished in Black shade.
The motorcycle comes with combination braking system and uses 280mm front as well as 240mm rear disc brake. The front tire on use is 110/80-17 while rear comes with 140/80-15. The motorcycle measures 2270mm in length, 840mm in width and 1530mm in wheelbase. The ground clearance for the bike is 147mm. UM is trying hard to get a chunk of sales in India but the launch of Jawa bikes have further made them feel expensive in comparison to the segment rivals. The fuel tank measures 18-liters while total weight tips the scale at 150 kg (wet weight, with fuel).
