GST Effect: UM Renegade Commando & Sports S Gets Price Cut

The benefits are mostly expected to fall in the hands of products under 350cc in the two wheeler segment and luxury cars plus SUVs in the four wheeler segment. Majority of two wheelers in India fall under 350cc. The old rate of tax for all category of bikes and scooters was 30 percent while new slab will help bikes under 350cc get a reduction of 2 percent. On the other hand, bikes bigger than 350cc will get an additional cess of 3 percent on the new taxation rate, which is 28 percent.
