UM Renegade Mojave (pronounced as mo-hah-vee) was recently spied in India with a unique livery from the cruiser manufacturer. Looking more in sync with the Royal Enfield Desert Storm, the motorcycle carries the same sand inspired theme (Matte Light Brown) and gets the name from the driest desert in North America. UM will feature leather saddle bag and many other touring based accessories on the Mojave Edition.
UM to launch Renegade Commando Mojave Edition in May
UM Motorcycles will get the same 279.5 cc, single cylinder engine producing 24.8 Bhp of maximum power and 21.8 Nm of maximum torque. Apart from that, the company will make all its products BS4 compliant and that would definitely raise the cost of the motorcycles by a considerable margin. Renegade Mojave is based on the Commando’s frame and its spied images seem to be from a dealer’s meet.
This makes it more likely to launch in the coming months, most probably in May 2017. UM will launch the same at a premium over the standard Commando and that could take its price to INR 1.70 lakh. This will make it directly in competition with the Classic 500 Special Edition models. Although, the Royal Enfield bikes are very powerful in comparison but the factor of exclusivity can help UM gain a significant chunk in the coming time.
