Vespa Urban Club 125 has been officially launched by Piaggio in India at a price tag of INR 72,190 (ex-showroom Pune). One of the most affordable offerings from Piaggio, the Vespa Urban Club 125 started reaching the dealerships a month ago. The scooter competes in the market with the likes of Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access, and TVS NTorq. The scooter is available in multiple colour options while gets an on-road price tag of INR 88,500 in Pune.
Powering the Vespa Urban Club 125 is a 125cc engine borrowed from Notte 125 that churns out a maximum power of 9.6HP at 7250rpm and an utmost torque of 9.9Nm or torque at 6250rpm. The engine is mated to a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT). The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a hydraulic shock absorber at the rear. The scooter has been equipped with Combi Braking System (CBS) as standard and features 10-inch wheels with drum brakes at either end.
The Vespa Urban Club 125 gets blacked out mirrors, grab rails as well as wheels instead of getting a chrome finish. The all-new scooter can be availed in four colours namely: Azzurro Provenza, Maze Grey, Glossy Yellow, and Glossy Red. The Vespa scooters have a noteworthy fanbase in India when it comes to their premium styling though, it offers a basic level of kit as compared to the other scooters in its segment.
