Vespa Urban Club 125 Starts Reaching Dealerships; Price Revealed

According to a recent report by Autocar India, some of the Vespa dealers have begun receiving the new Urban Club 125. The upcoming Vespa scooter gets a price tag of INR 72,190 (ex-showroom, Pune), which is similar to that of the CBS-equipped Notte 125. The on-road price of Urban Club 125 CBS in Pune would be around INR 88,500, while the ex-showroom price in Delhi is said to be slightly higher at INR 73,733.

The price is not the only thing which Vespa Urban Club and the Vespa Notte have in common. They are probably the most-affordable Vespa models in India and are essentially the same scooter with different characteristics. While the Notte 125 is available in Matte Black only, the Urban Club will be available in 4 colours: silver, yellow, light blue, and red.

Like Notte, the Urban Club 125 continues to use drum brakes and 10-inch wheels and comes equipped with CBS (Combi Braking System). Mechanically, the Urban Club is identical to the Notte and other 125cc Vespa scooters, which means it features a 125cc, air-cooled engine that puts out 9.6 HP of maximum power and 9.9 NM of maximum torque.

As both the scooters (Notte and Urban Club) are the most affordable Vespa offerings, they have very basic levels of kit. But they do are highly expensive than their sportier sibling, the upcoming Aprilia Storm 125, which will get an introductory price tag of INR 65,000 (ex-showroom, India).

The entry-level Vespa scooters are priced much higher than the TVS Ntorq 125, which offers loads of features with an excellent value-for-money price tag of INR 65,362 (ex-showroom, Pune). But the new gen of Vespa scooters attracts customers with their iconic style and premium looks. Those who like the stylish and eye-catching retro looks of Vespa products would not be concerned much about the value-for-money factor.
