Xiaomi has unveiled its all-new electric bike, the Himo C20 at an effective price tag of $375 (INR 26,000 approximate, after direct conversion). The e-bike is a compact pedal assisted bike that has been specifically designed for everyday use. Powering the Himo C20 is a 36V 10Ah lithium-ion battery and it has a capacity of 360Wh while weights just 2.5 kgs.
The lithium-ion battery on the e-bike is removable for easy charging purposes. The battery can be fully charged in just a duration of 6 hours while promises a range of 80km with pedal assist before needing another recharge. The e-bike is equipped with a 250 Watt DC motor that has been mounted on the rear wheel, allowing the bike to reach a speed of up to 40 kmph. The bike weighs 21 kgs while gets an aluminium frame.
The braking duties are handled by mechanical disc brakes at either end while the sporty white and black colour combination offers it a distinguished look. Inspired from the BMX bikes, the Xiaomi Himo C20 features 20-inch rims that have been specifically designed for easy assist over the bumps and ditches. The LED headlight and taillight compliment its styling. The Himo C20 is also equipped with an LED display that offers rider data such as speed, distance, battery percentage, pedal assist level and more.
The Himo C20 e-bike also features a hidden air pump for emergency purposes like tyre deflation. The new offering from Xiaomi is considered an improvement from its last year’s offering Himo V1 that features a 216 Wh battery. The brand has not made any official confirmation of its launch in India as of yet, though it is highly likely to see the Indian roads soon.
