Yamaha MT-15 Beats KTM 125 Duke (Sales Report): Yamaha MT-15 registered 3,823 units in April 2019 and left the KTM 125 Duke behind in the premium streetfighter segment by a considerable margin. The latter was good for 2,199 units, with a gap of more than 1,620 units in comparison to its rival.
The motorcycle options in India are definitely more than what the market had a few months ago. The focus of riders on the lightweight segment of motorcycling is growing with time as most people now prefer going for a small displacement motorcycle with a premium set of features instead of extra displacement and less interesting features.
KTM 125 Duke offers USD forks and bigger tires while Yamaha brings LED lights and 19.3HP of maximum power through the new model. Both the bikes are available with a single channel ABS unit and an all-digital instrument console as standard.
The powerful Yamaha MT-15 can be bought in two shades while the KTM 125 Duke is available in three different colour options. While everyone called the MT-15 an overpriced motorcycle at the time of its launch in India, but the impressive street fighter got more buyers in April 2019 than some of the very reputed motorcycles of the country.
