Official Photos of 2021 Yamaha MT-03 Streetfighter: The India-bound new Yamaha MT-03 was officially unveiled by the brand back in October 2019. The updated version of the motorcycle has been equipped with new styling features in addition to the new suspension setup. Yamaha’s hyper naked motorcycle especially focuses on combining lightweight versatility with aggressive looks and thrilling performance.
Coming to the most obvious changes, the updated motorcycle now features a new headlight setup, borrowed from the India-spec MT-15 though more sleek and aggressive. The new Yamaha MT-03 features sleek LED DRLs mated to a projector headlight.
The muscular profile of the MT-03 is accentuated by a wider tank cover as well as the fighter jet style air scoops. The revised ergonomics of the motorcycle further ensures a super comfortable ride. The MT-03 now features an all-digital LCD instrument console sourced from the new model of the YZF-R3.
Powering the new Yamaha MT-03 is the same 321cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve, 2-cylinder engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 42 HP at 10,750 rpm and a peak torque of 29.6 Nm at 9000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Apart from the cosmetic changes, the suspension duties on the motorcycle have also been revised. It now features 37mm Upside Down (USD) forks at the front that replaces the telescopic units seen on the last-gen variant. On the other hand, the rear features an adjustable monoshock suspension.
The braking duties are handled by disc brakes at either end. As per the reports, the new Yamaha MT-03 is expected to be launched in India after the launch of the new YZF-R3, which is expected to go on sale in the Indian market in the coming months. One can expect the brand to price the new model of the MT-03 around INR 3.30 lakhs (ex-showroom) in India. Here is the mega photo gallery of the streetfighter:
