BS6 2020 Yamaha FZ 25 and FZS 25 Officially Teased: Yamaha via its social media channels has recently announced that the BS6 FZ 25 and FZS 25 will be launched in the Indian markets soon. The brand has further revealed that one can expect the launch of the quarter-litre adventure street bikes to take place after the nationwide lockdown to curb the coronavirus is lifted.
As we reported earlier, the BS6 2020 Yamaha FZ 25 has got multiple feature updates which include the likes of an all-new bi-functional LED headlight which has been mated to LED DRLs. The brand has also enhanced the sportiness of the 250cc motorcycle variant further with a sharper front profile.
In addition to this, the upcoming 2020 variant of the motorcycle now features a BS6-compliant engine as well as a side-stand engine cut-off switch for preventing the rider from starting the motorcycle whenever the side stand is down.
The BS6 Yamaha FZ 25 is also expected to get a revised multi-function LCD instrument cluster. The customers will be able to get their hands on the 2020 motorcycle variant in two colour schemes namely Metallic Black and Racing Blue.
Coming to the BS6 Yamaha FZS 25, the motorcycle features identical styling when compared to the 2020 FZ 25 except for some minor design enhancements. The all-new 250cc FZS variant features additional knuckle guards and a longer front visor in comparison to the standard model.
The BS6 Yamaha FZS 25 will be available to the customers in Dark Cyan, Dark Blue, and Metallic White colour schemes with the former two featuring gold-finished alloy wheels and the latter featuring an all-black alloy wheels setup.
Powering both the BS6 Yamaha FZ 25 and FZS 25 is a BS6-compliant 249cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 20.8HP @ 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 20.1Nm @ 6,000 rpm. The engine has been mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Once launched in India, both the quarter-litre bikes from the brand will compete in the market against the likes of Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the recently launched Bajaj Dominar 250.
