BS6 2020 Yamaha MT-15 Launched in India @ INR 1.39 Lakh

The BS6 2020 Yamaha MT-15 has been officially launched in India with a starting price tag of INR 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated version of the motorcycle is priced INR 2,900 higher in comparison to the price tag of the BS4 variant, which is available for INR 1.36 lakh till the stock lasts. Coming to the major updates, the brand has offered the updated model of the MT-15 with a new ‘Ice Fluo Vermillion’ colour scheme which is a combination of icy white body panels with neon orange alloy wheels. In addition to this, the “Dark Matt Blue” and "Metallic Black" colour options have been retained from the BS4-compliant variant of the motorcycle. In addition to this, the tail light position has also been revised and has been raised a little bit when compared to the last-gen model. The brand has also equipped the BS6 2020 Yamaha MT-15 with a wide radial tyre at the rear. Apart from these changes, the motorcycle remains cosmetically unaltered. It is powered by a BS6-compliant 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 18.5HP @ 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 13.9Nm @ 8,500 rpm. In comparison, the BS4 variant of the MT-15 is good for 19.3HP of maximum power along with an utmost torque of 14.7Nm. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
