Yamaha YZF-R1 GYTR is here to celebrate two decades of superbike dominance, with this limited edition model to be made for just 20 lucky buyers. The number is not specific to any country as Yamaha has announced that the 20 unit limited production run will consider all the European markets. R1 has won the Suzuka 8-hour endurance race for the fourth time and also lists 2018 MotoAmerica Championship under its name.
Apart from the unique red/white livery, Yamaha is using Ohlins FGRT 219 forks, Bridgestone tires and Brembo brakes. The track-specific model comes with limited wiring and all-new ECU for impressive throttle response. The setup comes with full titanium Akrapovic Evolution 2 exhaust and carbon fiber fairing. EICMA 2018 was the first platform for this model, with pricing and availability status pending till December. The biggest mystery is how Yamaha will select only 20 buyers from a long list of interested fans with enough money to get their hands on this beautiful machine.
