Back on January 24 this year, Yamaha Motor India introduced the updated FZS 25 in the country with a price tag of Rs 1.43 lakh (ex-showroom). After getting a price hike recently, the motorcycle is now available for Rs 1.48 lakhs.
The brand has offered the bike with slight updates and a new colour scheme. The Yamaha FZS 25 is now available in two new colours: Matte Copper and Matte Black. The former, as the names suggest, wrap the bike in a striking copper colour, whereas the latter gives it a sinister dark appearance.
Nitish Neo, one of the popular YouTube channels, has recently posted a first ride review of the 2022 Matte Copper FZS 25 revealing the key changes and features of the motorcycle.
Except for the colours, the bike is completely unchanged. In terms of features, the Yamaha FZS 25 has a long visor to reduce wind blast and shield riders from dust, insects, and other debris, a brush guard for hand protection, an in-built side-stand cut-off switch, an advanced midship muffler cover, class D bi-functional LED headlamps with LED DRLs, a multifunctional negative LCD instrument cluster, and many more.
Built on a diamond frame, the motorcycle tips the scales at 154 kg and has a wheelbase of 1360mm and a 795mm seat height. In terms of powertrain, the Yamaha FZS 25 gets powered by a 249cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve that uses a fuel injection system and is coupled with a constant-mesh, 5-speed gearbox and is capable of churning out 20.8PS at 8000rpm and 20.1Nm of torque at 6000rpm.
Further looking at the braking and suspension, the braking duties are assigned to 282mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes, which are further supported by a dual-channel ABS system. While the suspension chores are done by telescopic forks at the front and 7-Step Adjustable Monocross Suspension at the rear end, Moreover, the bike rides on golden alloy wheels that are shod with tubeless tyres.
