Yamaha Aerox 155 Metallic Black Edition Launched in India

Yamaha Motor India recently added a Metallic Black colour option to the Aerox 155 scooter’s colour scheme. The brand is looking forward to a great response from the Indian audience. Besides the Metallic Black, other available colours are the Moto GP edition, Racing Blue, and Gray Vermillion. Yamaha Aerox 155 looks sophisticated, having an LED headlight upfront and a 3D taillight with 12 LEDs. While the pricing of the new colour remains the same as other colours, it is priced at Rs. 1,29,000 (ex-showroom). As far as availability is concerned, the new shade will be available in all Yamaha Blue Square Showrooms across India from December 2021 onwards.

In terms of power, the Aerox gets a BS-VI compliant,155cc, VVA-equipped engine that is similar to the R15 and it is good for 15.0 HP @ 8,000 rpm and 13.9 Nm @ 6500 rpm. The overall body dimensions of the scooter are 700mm in width, 1980mm in length, and 1150mm in height with a wheelbase of 1350mm. The Aerox features an underbone design with a noticeable spine section, unlike some of its competitors, such as the Aprilia SXR 160, which has a step-through design with a flat floorboard.

In addition, the premium scooter has a large 24.5-litre under-seat storage space. It also comes with connectivity features that are accessible through Yamaha’s mobile phone app. Other key features include an LCD instrument cluster, keyless entry, LED lighting, and a charging port. Yamaha Aerox features 14-inch wheels and shares the same frame as the Yamaha NMax 155. The company has used a disc at the front and a drum at the back for braking, while the suspension is handled by a telescopic fork and dual rear shocks.
