Yamaha Aerox 155 was recently spotted at a dealership in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. According to the dealer (Vaishnavi Automobile), the scooter is not for sale and it has been specially imported from Indonesia to put on display at the showroom. Yamaha Aerox was officially unveiled in 2016 and the 155cc scooter currently sells in select markets around the globe. Calling it the scooter version of R15 V3 won’t be wrong as it shares the same VVA engine. The 155.1cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine on the scooter is good for 14.8 BHP at 8,000 rpm and 14.4 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine is available in this de-tuned state for scooter friendly dynamics. Yamaha offers impressive design lines that includes twin LED front headlights and LED rear lights on Aerox 155. Features are class leading as it comes with 5.8 inch LCD display, smart key ignition and ABS. Scooter market is growing rapidly and more powerful products will further help riders select comfort packed performance for improved riding experience in India. Yamaha launched the R15 V3 and 2018 model of R3 in India @ Auto Expo 2018. As of now, Yamaha has not made any official announcement regarding the launch of Aerox in India. Aerox is one of the most-awaited products in India and we hope the brand brings it here in coming months. Yamaha is presently gaining traction through commuter centric products and scooters as introducing new products has helped them retain the number five spot in terms of sale number in India. If launched in India, Aerox 155 is expected to demand something close to INR 80,000-90,000 (ex-showroom).

Yamaha Aerox 155 is one of the quickest scooters in the segment. It is very powerful and aggressive. It is powered by a 155cc engine which makes 15PS. The Aerox 155 rolls on 14-inch tyres sprung on a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. With a 790mm seat height and 126kg kerb weight, it is fairly accessible too. Its ground clearance, though, is a bit low at 145mm. For the braking process, the Aerox employs a 230mm disc up front along with a 130mm drum brake at the rear. All these specs make it a great option for long rides and the ergonomics are pretty good as well.
