Yamaha Fazer 250 was recently seen through this high resolution walkaround video from Wheels World. The bike here is production ready, carrying style enhancement features like dual tone shade, carefully placed stickers and perfectly working components.
The front fascia looks better than before through a base Matte Grey shade and Cyan finish on the front fender. The same insertion is seen around the engine cover, side body panel and under seat panel. Fazer 250 received heavy criticism in last few days as the first batch of leaked images portrayed the same as a motorcycle with scooter’s body on its top.
Front of Fazer 250 carries the same headlight as FZ25, resulting in a small overall fascia that gets excessively covered with fairing from both the sides. In fact, the faux air inlets look too much for a bike of this class, infusing a feel of looking at Ray ZR within Fazer 250.
The typical Yamaha windshield is even missing from this motorcycle as they have used a rather short windshield and relatively bigger front fairing for this machine. Fazer actually has wider but lower placed fairing in its 150 cc variant, carrying a much bigger windshield and twin headlight overall design.
Yamaha will use their newly launched 249 cc engine from FZ25 on new Fazer, producing the same 20.69 BHP of maximum power and 20 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
One could expect a marginal rise in overall weight (4-5 kg) while top speed will improve considerably with aerodynamically effective design. As Yamaha is well known for its art of playing with colors, we can safely assume a couple of dual tone options on the new Fazer 250. It will be priced at a premium of around INR 10,000 (ex-showroom) from FZ25 which is available for around INR 1.20 lakhs.
