The engine on the FZ25 is a 249cc, single cylinder unit that is air cooled and fuel injected. It produces 20.69 Bhp @ 8000 rpm and 20 Nm at 6000 rpm. It comes mated to 5-speed gearbox and claims a wet weight of just 148 kg (16 kg over the FZ V2.0). The front disc brake measures 282 mm, twin pot caliper while the rear used here is 220 mm, single pot caliper. Yamaha claims an efficiency of 43 kmpl from the quarter liter engine.

FZ25 uses a 14 liter fuel tank, providing nearly the same range as the smaller FZ that uses a 12 liter fuel tank. It comes with a 160 mm ground clearance, tackling all of the obstacles on the way. The seat height measures 795 mm. The digital instrument console comes with added features like instantaneous fuel efficiency, second trip meter and reserve trip meter. Yamaha offers the FZ25 in three shadesBallistic Blue, Knight Black and Warrior White.yamaha-fz25-ballistic-blue

The motorcycle measures 2015 mm in length, 770 mm in width and 1075 mm in height. It carries a wheelbase of 1360 mm. It uses the same 100/80-17 and 140/70-17 tyres as the younger FZ siblings. The front wheel travel is limited to 130 mm while the rear travels a max of 120 mm. The motorcycle uses most parts from the FZ V2.0 models as it can even be a big factor in keeping the cost of the new bike under check.

Yamaha is not offering ABS even as an option into the new FZ25. It rivals none other than TVS Apache RTR 200, KTM 200 Duke and Bajaj Pulsar RS200 around its price segment. If compared in terms of engine size, it can be seen rivaling Honda CBR250R and Benelli TNT25. If not producing as much power as the rivals, it is even priced lower than most of the bikes that compete against the new Yamaha FZ25.yamaha-fz25-knight-whiteKey Facts About Yamaha FZ25
