Yamaha R1 GYTR Price Revealed; Costs 39,400 Euros (INR 31.65 Lakh)

Yamaha YZF-R1 GYTR is here to celebrate two decades of superbike dominance, with this limited edition model to be made for just 20 lucky buyers. The number is not specific to any country as Yamaha has announced that the 20 unit limited production run will consider all the European markets. The motorcycle is priced at 39,400 Euros (INR 31.65 lakh approx). GYTR here stands for Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing. The YZF-R1 has won the Suzuka 8-hour endurance race for the fourth time and also lists 2018 MotoAmerica Championship under its name. The price may seem higher for the model as this comes without adding any taxes when an Indian buyer plans to get one of the twenty units.

Apart from the unique red/white livery, Yamaha is using Ohlins FGRT 219 forks, Bridgestone tires and Brembo brakes. The track-specific model comes with limited wiring and all-new ECU for impressive throttle response. The setup comes with full titanium Akrapovic Evolution 2 exhaust and carbon fibre fairing. EICMA 2018 was the first platform for this model. The biggest mystery is how Yamaha will select only 20 buyers from a long list of interested fans with enough money to get their hands on this beautiful machine. The price will double (approx) for the Indian market as every CBU model commands around 100% of tax.

The amazing R1 legacy started 20 years back and now, they retail the stock model for INR 19.68 lakh in India. The engine powering the R1 is a 998cc, four-cylinder unit, producing 200 PS of maximum output at 13,500 rpm and 112.4 Nm at 11,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The stock bike weighs just 200 kg with the full fuel tank and thus, 1PS/kg of a power-to-weight ratio is achieved in this case. The YZF-R1 GYTR brings an even better ratio as the lightweight body and enhanced output results in an amazing ride for every single lucky buyer of the limited model.
