Zero SR is out in the UK and the latest EV has many features to offer as its predecessor. Let’s begin with the obvious performance quirks that they have added to it. It comes with performance profiles and you can toggle between Eco and Sports mode. By connecting it to your mobile device, you can get stats like Max Speed, Max Torque, Neural Regeneration, Brake Regeneration, etc. You can manage profiles accordingly as to city streets or twisty back-roads.
Zero provides 85 miles of riding for every hour of charging when connected to a level 2 charging station. And depending on the battery size, you can charge it fully in an hour. Charging on FX, FXS, S and DS requires no additional equipment or installations. SR can access any outlet with an EVSE cable. SR comes with a Rapid Charge option, which can be boosted from 6 kW to 12 kW.
Zero S comes with the ZF7.2 battery, by adding a Power Tank accessory battery can be expanded by 3.6 kWh. The battery comes with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty and it also features Long Term Storage Mode to optimize the charging state. It comes with a carbon fibre belt which is connected to a motor that is used to deliver torque.
Zero S can reach the top speed of 158 km/h (max), peak torque of 106 Nm, and peak power of 34kW at 4300rpm. It is installed with Z-Force 75-5 passively air-cooled radial flux, interior permanent magnet, brushless motor 550 amp, 3-phase brushless controller with regenerative deceleration. Zero S base price is $11595 (Rs 8,79,848) but if you want to add a power tank or charge tank with a quick charger, then it would cost around $15090 (Rs 11,45,233). Graphite is the solely accessible colour for it.
