BSA Gold Star 650 Specifications Revealed; Price Not Announced Yet

With its impeccable blend of retro and modern styling, the 2022 BSA Gold Star made its official debut on December 4, 2021, in Birmingham during the exclusive Motorcycle Live Show at The NEC. The British brand, BSA Motorcycles, has made its comeback after a pretty long time with the help of Classic Legends, which is further owned by Mahindra & Mahindra. With the launch, the full specifications of the all-new BSA Gold Star 650 are out, and here we have all the details for you. 

To begin with the design and styling, the newly launched BSA Gold Star 650 is designed in such a way that it revives the memories of its golden past and maintains the essence of its ancestor. The motorcycle’s chrome finished fuel tank, engine casing, and fenders enhanced its elegance. The five colours offered (Insignia Red, Dawn Silver, Midnight Black, Highland Green, and the Legacy Edition Silver Sheen) are perfectly combined with the style of the motorcycle. 

Furthermore, the bike gets a twin-pod instrument console with an LCD multifunctional display, a round headlamp, a tear-drop shaped fuel tank with an offset fuel filler cap, a single-piece seat setup, a single-piece wide-set handlebar, and circular turn indicators. When it comes to mechanical specs, the motorcycle is powered by the 652cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-valve, DOHC engine, which is coupled with the 5-speed transmission and is capable of churning out 45 hp of max power at 6,000 rpm and 55 Nm of max torque at 4,000 rpm. 

Moreover, in terms of braking and suspension, the braking duties are handled by a 320mm front disc and a 255mm rear disc brake, which are further supported by a dual-channel ABS system. The suspension responsibilities are assigned to 41mm telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload at the rear end.

The BSA Gold Star 650 comes with traditional wire-spoke alloy rims (18-inch front and 17-inch rear) that are shod with Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres. The motorcycles has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres and a kerb weight of 213kg. Speaking of the bike’s ’India launch, it will eventually be here, but not anytime soon.
