The customized Tata Harrier matte black edition you see here is genuinely the most attitude-filled example of the premium midsize SUV, flaunting every little detail that one can generally miss from the regular paint finish available with the car.
The front flaunts all-black grille with dark Tata logo, silver faux skid plate finish and completely black bumper with highlighted daytime running lights and projector section. The side profile is again dark, getting the stock alloy wheels painted in the black shade to keep up with the theme. The cladding carries a slightly different shade of black in comparison to the body finish.
The glowing pattern of the taillight is highlighted with the surrounding black finish while exhaust exits and the lower bumper highlight is left silver to bring some contrast. Officially, the Tata Harrier is not available in a black shade, leaving just the option of a Telesto Grey finish for those who want to buy the SUV in a dark colour.
Apart from the Telesto Grey, the Harrier SUV can be bought in Calisto Copper, Ariel Silver, Thermisto Gold, and Orcus White shades in India. Tata Motors may feel the premium factor after seeing this Harrier matte black edition and launch matt shades for their popular product in the coming months.
Tata Harrier will spawn a seven-seat variant soon, which expected to be launched as Cassini in India. The availability of the 7-seat model will help the brand take down the popular Mahindra XUV500. The present-gen 5-seat Harrier could also get new shades derived from the upcoming flagship 7-seat model.
Tata Harrier matte black edition comes with the same 6-speed manual gearbox as the standard car while official reports regarding the launch period of the automatic gearbox model are still blurred. The wrap cost is estimated to be around INR 50,000. The 2.0L engine on the car is good for 140 HP and 350 Nm. The pricing for the stock model of Harrier starts from INR 12.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
