With the introduction of the Vredestein brand in India, Apollo Tyres has expanded its line of tyres for the luxury car category. Vredestein, acquired by Apollo in 2009, is one of Europe’s oldest tyre manufacturing brands. The Vredestein tyre collection will be manufactured in India and will appeal to the luxury segment of passenger vehicles as well as two-wheelers for the super biking segment in the country.
Vredestein, recognised for producing high-quality tyres, will debut passenger car tyres in sizes ranging from 15 to 20 inches. These are basically classified as Ultrac and Ultrac Vorti sub-brands. The Vredestein Ultrac Vorti will serve premium luxury sedans from Audi, Land Rover, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Volvo. On the other hand, Ultrac will be shod on premium hatchbacks and sedans like the Honda City, Suzuki Baleno, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

In addition, the Centauro NS and ST two-wheeler tyres from Vredestein will fit the whole sport touring and super sports range of bikes from BMW Motorrad, Ducati, Aprilia, Triumph, Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha. The Vredestein passenger vehicle series has the signature touch of renowned automobile designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, while the two-wheeler range is the work of well-known Italian design studio Frascoli Design. According to Apollo, the tyres that will be released in the Indian market have been tested on key tracks in Europe and India.
Apollo Tyres will offer Vredestein tyres through its current network of business partners, particularly premium Tier I counters. In the future, the company may explore opening Vredestein-specific counters. Vredestein benefits from Apollo Tyres’ skilled and powerful sales and service network in India as a new market entry. Vredestein has mostly operated in the replacement market in Europe and the United States. Recently, the business began selling Vredestein tyres to manufacturers such as Audi, Volkswagen, Ford and SEAT.
