The Aston Martin DBX luxury SUV has been officially revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show at a price tag of $1,89,900 (INR 1.36 crore, approximate). Since SUVs have recently been the basis of success for major luxury brands, Aston Martin has finally jumped into the segment with a purpose to rise above its competitors.

Coming to the front fascia, the dominating grille features the identical Aston Martin styling borrowed from the other cars in its portfolio while the muscular hood and unique headlamp setup complements its premium looks.
The design of the SUV is further accentuated with a sloping roof that is mated to the fin-like rear fascia featuring the identical tail light setup as seen in other cars in the brand’s portfolio. The addition of unique alloy wheels and the flowing creases adds to its luxury stance. The crossover silhouette of the SUV is enhanced with the use of dual exhausts at the rear, mated to a black diffuser.
Coming to the interiors, the use of premium leather and tan upholstery add on to its luxurious stance while the 10.5-inch touchscreen has been placed at the centre of the unique dashboard design. The Aston Martin DBX further features a 12.3-inch all-digital instrument console.
Powering the luxury SUV is the twin-turbo 4.0-litre AMG V8 engine, borrowed from the Vantage and DB11 that is capable to generate a maximum power of 542HP and a peak torque of 700Nm. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Aston Martin DBX is capable of covering 0-100km in just 4.5 seconds while the top speed of the SUV stands at 291kmph.
The brand is expected to launch the SUV in the Indian market by 2020. Once launched in India, the DBX is expected to compete in the market with the likes of Lamborghini Huracan, Bentley Bentayga, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Maserati Levante, Porsche Cayenne and more.
