2016 Audi A4 30 TFSI launched in India for Rs 38.1 Lakhs

The next generation Audi A4 has finally arrived in India, starting from a price tag of INR 38.10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The best selling luxury sedan now comes only with a petrol engine, most probably hinting at the diesel launch at a later stage. The car now uses a 1.4 L, turbocharged petrol engine producing 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

As per Audi India, the downsizing does not effect its performance as the new architecture claims to be much lighter (around 120 kg) than the older one. This also helps in the reduction of harmful emissions from the car. The new A4 measures 4726 mm in length, 1842 mm in width and 1427 mm in height. It returns a claimed mileage of 17.84 kmpl.

It is available in two grades, Premium Plus (INR 38.10 lakh) and Technology (INR 41.20 lakh). The new A4 has a 12 mm longer wheelbase while its overall length and width has also increased by 25 mm and 16 mm respectively. Highlights for the new car include LED headlights, Heads-Up Display, Virtual Cockpit, 7 inch infotainment system, 755 W Bang & Olufsen system, 19 speakers and automatic climate control.

The car lacks the Audi Quattro Drive but offers a blend of technology, power and elegance under a reasonably responsible petrol engine. Audi India hopes that the highly efficient luxury petrol sedan will be a success story in the coming time. The bookings for the car will start on 9th September 2016.
