Bitcoin is raising eyebrows with its high market value and thus, it is quite natural for supercar buyers to consider this currency for dealing with those who accept the same open-heartedly. The last report we heard was for McLaren 720S being sold by an owner for 30 bitcoins.
This time, things got bigger and a report was seen where two hypercars, Bugatti Chiron and Pagani Huayra were sold using bitcoin as the only currency. The Pagani Newport Beach helped the buyer purchase both the supercars and this was further confirmed by DuPoint Registry.
The collective deal value is over $6 million. Those who are new to the bitcoin game may feel it as a bubble but regular traders and owners take full advantage of this cryptocurrency for buying and selling expensive products. The trend will continue for coming months as more and more people are interested in buying a bitcoin by paying almost $11,000 (approx value these days).
A million US dollars were just 75 bitcoins at the time of this deal and thus, this 6 million deal counts to 450 bitcoins only. This makes bitcoin the most expensive currency that one could hold at present, leading to more interest of buyers in 2017.
Chiron is powered by 7993 cc, W16 engine producing 1500 HP at 6700 rpm and 1600 Nm at 2000-6000 rpm. That makes it good for 0-100 kmph in just 2.5 seconds. Pagani Huayra is powered by a Mercedes sourced V12 engine producing 700 HP and 1000 Nm of torque.
