Bugatti Chiron Sport was recently launched at 2018 Geneva Motor Show. Sport comes exactly two years after the standard variant came from this same platform.
Bugatti has not made any changes to the overall output of Chiron while buyers of Chiron Sport will enjoy 18 kg of weight reduction for better cornering and control on race tracks.
They have even worked on the wheel design and exhaust deflectors for getting a unique identity to their Chiron Sport. The car carries a base price of $3.26 million (INR 21.20 crore, without any taxes and import duties) and deliveries will start around end 2018.
Dynamic handling package on the Chiron Sport makes the car 10 percent more stiffer than standard Chiron, helping driver enjoy tough turns in the most easiest possible manner. The automatic adjustments made by Chiron Sport bring clarity of race driving to its owner.
Dynamic torque vectoring, lightweight wheels, redefined rear axle and much more make this car a great option for strict performance lovers. Even the windscreen wiper used here is made out of carbon fiber for weight saving and more rigidity. Bugatti is using 3D printing to make certain parts of Chiron Sport.
Sportiest possible look can be had through specially selected shade options while almost black interior looks perfectly planted for a car of its type. Geneva Motor Show had the car finished in Italian Red. It also comes with ‘16’ moniker on the front grill that shows the number of cylinders hidden under the hood.
Bugatti Chiron Sport is powered by a 16 cylinder, 7993cc engine producing 1500 HP at 6700 rpm and 1600 Nm at 2000-6000 rpm. It takes less than 2.5 seconds to sprint from 0-100 kmph and performs extremely well on straight tracks. The new Sport variant has made the Chiron even more effective against cars like Koenigsegg Agera RS and Pagani Huayra.
