Citroen C5 Aircross SUV Deliveries Commence in India: The much-talked-about Citroen C5 Aircross SUV was recently launched in the Indian markets with a starting ex-showroom price tag of INR 29.90 lakhs. Now, the brand has officially commenced the deliveries from its La Maison dealerships present in 10 cities across India. Earlier, the brand was supposed to enter India in August 2020, but it didn’t happen due to the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic last year. Coming to the Shine variant, in addition to the features of the Feel variant, it also features LED vision projector headlamps and a panoramic sunroof. The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that is good enough to generate a maximum power figure of 177 HP and a peak torque of 400 Nm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, while the power is sent only to the front wheels. For now, Citroen is not offering a manual transmission. The SUV does come with different driving modes: Snow and All-terrain with Grip Control. The ARAI-certified mileage of C5 Aircross stands at 18.6 kmpl. In terms of safety, the SUV is equipped with 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control (TC), and Blind Spot Information System (BLIS). The SUV also gets an electric parking brake, front and rear parking sensors, a reverse camera, ISOFIX mounts, auto door unlock and a lot more. The Citroen C5 Aircross competes in the Indian markets with the likes of Jeep Compass, Volkswagen T-Roc, Skoda Karoq, and the Hyundai Tucson.
