5 Reasons to Buy the Datsun Redi-GO: The traffic on the roads is ever-increasing, and with the increasing urban population, parking spaces are getting more cramped by the day. People are opting for smaller cars in lieu of a better parking spot. They are easy to weave through traffic.
Car manufacturers have seen a great rise in the sales of their compact cars and Datsun is no different for wanting to take advantage of the situation. Their Redi-GO is one of the top cars that is being sold in the segment, and there are some stand-out features for the car which make it a better choice than others in the segment.
Even though it is offered only with a petrol engine option, Datsun’s Redi-GO claims a superior fuel efficiency of 23 kmpl. This makes it more efficient than some of the manual-transmission cars in the segment.
The Redi-GO is offered with a 1.0-litre petrol engine and is available with a 5-speed manual as well as 5-speed AMT transmission. The other engine option is the 799cc petrol engine that comes only with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The smaller engine produces 54 hp of maximum power and 72 Nm of peak torque, while the larger engine produces 68 hp of maximum power and 91 Nm of peak torque. The automatic gearbox comes with an option to switch to manual for conditions that require human control and more torque.
Datsun is the sole company in the segment that offers a warranty of unlimited kilometres with a time period of 2 years + 3 years of optional extended warranty. The services are also quite pocket-friendly, and the overall ownership of the car remains hassle-free and cost-friendly.
The Redi-GO is designed to have more headroom than others in the segment. This means that taller people can easily opt for this car without having to worry about bending down while driving. Overall space on the inside is quite open, and you will not feel claustrophobic in any of the seats. The drive is smooth, and the automatic gearbox contains the head nods, which are a characteristic problem of AMTs.
The Redi-GO is quite reasonably priced as compared to the other cars in the segment. It starts from INR 2,49,999 (ex-showroom Delhi) and go all the way up INR 4,05,868 (ex-showroom Delhi). The prices are quite attractive when compared to all the cars in the segment and the features that Datsun offers on the Redi-GO like Bluetooth connectivity and a class-topping high ground clearance of 185 mm, and 222 litres of boot space.
