CES 2017 brings new possibility into the world of everyday electric cars and this time performance is even one of the most interesting factor. Faraday Future, the company that planned a fully electric Tesla competitor last year, recently brought an almost production ready version of a car called FF 91. It looks quite gentle and comes with a drag coefficient of 0.25 only. If this is not that amazing, it features a battery pack of 130 kWh.
The four electric motors mated to the car makes it good for 1050 HP of maximum power and 1800 Nm of earth shaking torque. This helps in a superfast, 2.39 second sprint from 0-60 mph (96 kmph). FF91 even claims an estimated mileage of 609 kms. The use of multiple electric motors helps in real time torque vectoring while the battery pack can be charged up to 50 percent in 4.5 hours through a regular home charger.
Faraday Future Unveils FF 91 Electric Supercar @ CES 2017
Autonomous driving has been embedded into the FF 91 while the level of automation and its demo is still pending from the company. It carries 13 long and short range radars, 10 high definition cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors in total, helping it park itself easily in even the tightest available spaces. They have designed the car in such a way that it provides maximum space for the passengers on the inside.
The car is still few steps away from being a production machine but you can still book one online by paying $5000. The car will provide rear seats with about 60 degrees recline function and may serve as the future of affordable luxury and performance. The first 300 units would be named FF 91 Alliance Edition, donating a portion of the income to environment fund. Faraday Future may soon rise as a big name as FF 91 carries a lot of potential for the coming days.
