2018 Fiat Cronos Sedan Officially Revealed: Fiat, the Italian Automaker is all-set to launch its new Argo hatchback-based sedan, the Cronos. It is expected to be launched sometime early in 2018 in South American Markets like Brazil and will compete in the market with the likes of the Honda City, the Hyundai Verna and the yet-to-be-launched Polo-based VW Virtus.
According to the official photos and the teasers, it features similar styling as the Argo and an overall sporty design. Though some minimum features distinguish-ably sets it apart.
It is seen with minor tweaks to the front bumper that has wider air intake design and high-set fog lamp housings and the grille gets a smaller mesh design and thicker surrounds. Fiat Cronos Sedan features a longer and differently designed rear door and roof.
At the rear, the tail-lamp design looks to be inspired by smaller Audi sedans. On the inside, Fiat Cronos Sedan is expected to have a dashboard similar to the Argo but with additional features and tech to make it more competitive with the new-gen Volkswagen Polo sedan (Virtus).
Depending upon the model, you will be offered an automatic gearbox option that can either be operated by a traditional lever or via a push-button system.
In the Brazilian Market, it is expected to be powered with a choice of a 1.3-litre 109 HP engine and a range-topping 139 HP, 1.8-litre flex-fuel engine, paired with the choice of a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
There is however no confirmation if Fiat is bringing its all-new Sedan Cronos to India in order to replace the aging Linea sedan, which competes in the Indian market with Volkswagen Vento, Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and Honda City.
