2018 Ford Endeavour (Everest) Leaked!: Ford Everest is about to receive a facelift internationally. For those who have heard this name for the first time, India spec Ford Endeavour is called Everest in certain markets. Present generation car comes with two variants, one being 2.2L, four cylinder engine producing 160 PS and 385 Nm while the other being 3.2L, five cylinder engine producing 200 PS and 470 Nm.
This year, Ford has planned four engines for their Everest in North American market while no report for other markets like India was made clear. Above all, these variants will now come equipped with 10-speed AT along with familiar 6-speed AT.
Starting with the most powerful engine on offer, Ford Endeavour will use 2.0L twin turbo diesel motor from Ford Raptor, producing nothing less than 213 PS and 500 Nm. These values guarantee a segment take down as buyers will love the fire breathing output from their Endeavour with much smaller engine.
The same engine with single turbo will also be on offer with 180 PS and 420 Nm of maximum output. These two options have the potential to rock this segment as more power with downsizing is in trend these days. It not lower down the emissions but can also result in better fuel economy.
Those variants coming with new AT gearbox with also feature automatic start-stop system for saving fuel. Design lines will mostly stay unchanged with slight changes on its fascia part. One can expect bigger wheels and bolder front grill for the facelift. It will arrive in US dealerships around June.
