The BS6 Ford EcoSport SUV was officially launched back on January 21, 2020, and after getting a recent price hike of INR 14,000, it is now available with a starting ex-showroom price tag of INR 8.18 lakhs for the base petrol variant while the price starts from INR 8.68 lakhs for the diesel variants.
The BS6 EcoSport is available to the customers with two engine options. The 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine is capable of offering maximum power of 122 HP and a peak torque of 149 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox while the customers can also avail the compact SUV with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The BS6 model of the EcoSport can also be availed with a 1.5-litre diesel engine that is good for 100 HP of maximum power and 215 Nm of utmost torque. The diesel model is available only with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The brand has officially discontinued the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine in the Indian market while both the diesel and petrol engine options are further available in six and seven trims respectively. In addition to this, the updated SUV is now available to customers with a three-year/1,00,000km warranty.
The higher-spec variant of the updated SUV is equipped with 6 airbags as standard while at the same time features 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment mated to the Ford SYNC 3 system that is further compatible with Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto. In addition to this, the higher-spec trims will also feature a 9.0-inch multimedia system as well as automatic wipers, HID headlights, push-button ignition and more.
