Sales Report: 75 Units of Ford Mustang GT Sold in India in 2019

Ford Mustang GT is a successful product for its segment, getting 75 units on the sales chart of 2019. The car performed decently in comparison to the previous sales report as Ford had registered 93 units in the year 2018. For those who are yet to spot a Mustang on the Indian roads, the muscle car was launched back in mid-2016 for INR 65 lakh. The deliveries for the first six months helped the car gain presence among other exclusive cars of India and helped Ford get 148 buyers in 2017. The drop in sales for 2019 was 19% in comparison to 2018.

However, the current price tag of INR 74.62 lakh for the Mustang GT must have forced buyers to consider nearby performance options from Mercedes AMG or even the Porsche Cayman by raising the budget. The AMG models of CLA and C-Class from Mercedes are priced around the INR 80 lakh mark. Ford Mustang is an iconic car in comparison to all these options as the brand is still using a naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 petrol engine.
