Honda’s first diesel success – The Honda Amaze has received a nifty face-lift for the Indian market. Priced slightly higher than its previous version, the new Amaze gets a series of cosmetic changes, technological upgrades and new color variants. Under the hood, the Amaze, however continues to be powered by the same motor.
At the first glimpse, the 2016 Honda Amaze, appears quite similar to its earlier version save for a new chrome grille, a marginally revised bumper with larger air-intakes and a freshly styled pair of tail lamps. The side silhouette of the car retains the same styling.
In terms of interiors, the Amaze get a series noteworthy improvements. The car gets a completely new dashboard, a larger center console, and a revised instrument cluster. It also gets a new set of rectangular air-vents replacing the round ones in the current model. The more expensive variants will also feature touchscreen music systems along with automatic climate control, while the lower versions will get a basic 2-DIN Bluetooth audio console.
The car continues to powered by the same rig, with the petrol version returning a mileage of 17.8 km/l (MT), 18.1 Km/l (CVT) while the diesel setup returns an impressive 25.8 km/l. Honda claims that the new Amaze offers an improved ride quality and better NHV levels.
The car is open for bookings, and starts a marginally higher price tag of 5.29 lacs (ex-showroom).
