2017 Honda Civic Type R Concept Unveiled

Honda has previewed the 2017 Civic Type R @ 2016 Paris Motor Show while the car will enter production in the second half of 2017. It has been fully revealed through the official photos by the company. The car is currently exclusive to Europe and UK only. The new generation will be based on the new Civic hatchback. The car will be produced at Honda's UK manufacturing facility while it is expected to be sold around other markets as well. This would be the first Honda Type R to be sold in North America. The most interesting part would be its updated 2.0 L engine from the current generation Type-R. New Civic Type R Prototype breaks cover in Paris

The car comes with wider bumpers, large rear wing and extended wheel arches. It now even comes with a bonnet scoop while the other changes include carbon fiber splitter, diamond mesh inserts in air intakes and many more minor design changes in the bumpers. The LED headlights have been smoked for a meaner look. The car comes with 20 inch Piano Black alloy wheels, 245 section high performance race spec tyres, three tail pipes and even carbon fiber side skirts. It will definitely produce more than 306 BHP of current generation Type-R's power figure. Some reports suggest that it generates close to 340 BHP!
