New Honda Amaze has been launched in India from INR 5,59,900 (ex-showroom India). Designed on the grounds of tenth generation Honda Accord, the 2018 Honda Amaze comes with four different drive-trains and four trim levels.
They have retained their refined 1.2L, 90 HP petrol and 1.5L, 100 HP diesel engine. Both are offered with five speed manual or CVT gearbox option. Surprisingly, the diesel CVT variant claims just 80 HP and 160 Nm of torque. Four trim levels are named E, S, V and VX.
Safety pack that comprises of dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, day/night rear view mirror and ISOFIX child anchors remain standard across all variants. The base E variant comes with power steering, power windows and front 12V accessory socket.
Amaze S adds power folding and adjustable mirrors, wheel covers, 2 DIN audio system with AUX, USB and Bluetooth, steering mounted controls, key-less entry, rear armrest, rear 12V socket and height adjustable driver seat.
*Above mentioned prices are ex-showroom India.
Amaze S and V are offered with an option between manual as well as CVT gearbox. Buyers of Amaze V are getting 15 inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, bigger MID, push start button, rear defogger, automatic climate control, LED daytime running lights and paddle shifters on CVT.
Top spec VX variant comes loaded with 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, navigation, reverse parking camera and cruise control. The price given here is introductory and is valid for first 20,000 bookings for the 2018 Honda Amaze.
The front and side profile of new Honda Amaze looks the best among all other compact sedans of India. It looks mature and quite inspired from City, Civic and Accord. Only the rear end seems overdone with higher than usual boot lid that results in a flat view. The same looks quite amazing from side and three quarter angles.
