The sedan has been recently facing low sales from the past few months though the new iteration of the Honda City is expected to take the things to an all-new level. Coming to the changes, the next-gen Honda City retains the design language of the last-gen variant though the cabin now features an all-new dashboard design that shrieks of simplicity. The brand will launch the 2020 Honda City with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine that is BS6-compliant and capable of offering maximum power of 120HP. In addition to this, the power figures for the 1.5-litre i-DTEC BS6 diesel engine have not been revealed as of yet though it is expected to be good for around 100HP, similar to the power offered by the BS4 diesel variant. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox while the CVT gearbox is expected to be offered as an option. Major automobile manufacturers are going for an online product launch due to the coronavirus scare while the new details on the launch of the 2020 Honda City have not been revealed as of yet. Once launched in India, the updated sedan variant is expected to get a starting price tag of around INR 10 lakh (ex-showroom) and will compete in the market with the likes of Toyota Yaris, Volkswagen Vento, 2020 Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and more.
