2020 Honda City RS Turbo Price, Photos and Key Specifications

The fifth-gen Honda City was officially unveiled by the brand at an event in Thailand back in November last year. The updated 2020 model of the sedan is the first-ever model to get the Sport RS variant in addition to three other trims namely: S, V, and SV. The brand has recently revealed the first set of official images of the all-new Honda City RS, which gives us a clear view of the sedan’s interior and exterior.

Coming to the exterior of the sedan, the brand has equipped the RS variant with 16-inch alloy wheels in comparison to the 15-inch units offered on the other three trims. The unique front grille of the sedan has been adorned with a glossy back colour while features an RS emblem on the top right side.

In addition to this, the brand has also redesigned the front bumper in the RS variant while offering more sportier looking headlight assembly mated to unique LED DRLs. The ORVMs have also been finished in a black shade while the trunk spoiler also features the RS logo.

Talking about the interior of the Honda City RS variant, the brand has offered the cabin with a sportier look with the use of premium leather upholstery and seats with red stitching. The instrument console on the sedan further features red illumination detailing while getting two analogue dials in addition to a digital MID placed in the centre. The G-CON (G-Force Control) body structure offered to the RS variant of the sedan offers more rigidity, flexibility and more stiffness.

Adding to the sporty exterior of the sedan is the ‘Ignite Red’ shade that is authentic to the RS variant only. Powering the Honda City RS is the 998cc, VTEC, turbocharged, 3-cylinder petrol engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 122 HP @ 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 173 Nm @ 2,000-4,500 rpm. The engine is mated to CVT gearbox while the fuel efficiency stands at 23.8 kmpl.

The Honda City RS Turbo has been launched in Thailand with a price tag of 739,000 baht (INR 17.50 lakh approx). The brand will be launching the 2020 Honda City in India in the coming weeks while there is no confirmation regarding the launch of RS variant in the Indian market as of yet.
