Honda has officially launched the 2020 BS6-compliant model of the WR-V compact SUV in India with a starting price tag of INR 8.50 lakhs for the base petrol version while the diesel variant of WR-V starts at INR 9.70 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The 2020 Honda WR-V is available in 2 grades – SV and VX.
In comparison to the last-gen BS4-compliant model, the brand has offered the 2020 BS6 Honda WR-V an all-new front fascia to set it apart from the old version. The compact SUV now features a new front grille, new front bumper, new 16-inch alloy wheels, and a new set of LED projector headlights and LED tail-lights.
2020 Honda WR-V is powered by the same set of petrol and diesel engines which are now BS6-compliant. The 1199cc, 4-cylinder petrol engine is good for a maximum power of 90 HP at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 110 Nm at 4800 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The diesel engine on the WR-V is a 1498cc, 4-cylinder unit producing 100 HP at 3600 rpm and 200 Nm at 1750 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The company-claimed mileage figures are 16.5 kmpl and 23.7 kmpl for petrol and diesel respectively.
2020 Honda WR-V is available in 6 eye-catching shades: Premium Amber Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic, and Platinum White Pearl. The upgraded model of WR-V would be competing with the likes of Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
