Due to this, the price of the Honda City Hybrid will also be higher than its other variants. It is expected to get an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 20 lakhs for the fully-loaded variant.
The engine of the new Honda City Hybrid is going to be very special. It will come with a hybrid engine that uses Honda's i-MMD hybrid technology. It gets two electric motors fitted with an internal combustion engine (IC).
Moreover, the engine is a 1.5-litre Atkinson petrol unit that will generate 98 bhp of power and 127 Nm of torque. With the electric motor, this engine will be able to generate a power of 109 bhp and a torque of 253 Nm. The electric motors will be fitted into the front wheels of the car, which will be connected to a single fixed-ratio gearbox.
